Nestled in a wooded cottage country setting, the Stitchwood Retreat offers a serene atmosphere with the sights and sounds of the Seguin River in the heart of Parry Sound, Ontario. This beautiful location features a spacious, light-filled classroom perfect for a quilting retreat, accommodating up to 8 people.

Whether you’re planning a solo escape or gathering with fellow makers, this quilting retreat was created to inspire—offering a warm, inviting atmosphere where you can settle in, spread out, and fully enjoy your craft.
Inside, you’ll find a bright and comfortable studio tailored for quilting and creative work, complete with ample table space, good lighting, and cozy touches throughout. The retreat is designed to feel both functional and relaxing—so you can focus during the day and unwind in comfort in the evenings.
Step outside or glance out the windows, and you’ll often find yourself surrounded by peaceful woodland views and visiting birds—woodpeckers, songbirds, and other local wildlife frequently make an appearance, enhancing the calm, restorative feel of the space.
The property offers a quiet, tucked-away setting that feels private and removed from the rush of everyday life. Guests have full, exclusive use of the retreat space, with everything you need for a seamless and enjoyable stay.
At the back of the property, there is a small, self-contained studio apartment that is part of the overall property, reserved for a quiet caretaker presence. It has its own private entrance and operates fully independently, with no shared spaces—allowing you to enjoy a peaceful, private, and uninterrupted retreat experience.

Our spacious classroom offers plenty of room to spread out and create, featuring cutting tables, individual workstations, ergonomic chairs, and flexible layouts designed with quilters in mind. Expansive windows fill the room with beautiful natural light throughout the day, while peaceful views of the surrounding property help create a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
Whether you’re piecing, pressing, cutting, or simply enjoying conversation with friends, every detail has been considered to make your retreat experience both productive and relaxing. A cozy fireplace adds warmth and charm, making the space inviting in every season — the perfect setting to gather, create, and unwind together.
4 Guest Rooms and Bonus Room
At Stitchwood Retreat, each bedroom is thoughtfully designed with your comfort in mind.
Every room features two double beds, with plenty of space to move and settle in. Cozy, high-quality linens are provided to ensure a restful stay. Two bedrooms share a well-appointed full bathroom, offering both convenience and privacy.

The spacious dining and gathering area stretches across the back of the home, offering serene views of the Seguin River.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare and enjoy meals together. A cozy café-style nook provides additional seating, complete with a servery and dedicated coffee station. There’s also a separate bar area—perfect for a relaxed happy hour—while the main dining table comfortably seats eight.
